Luke – Now that we have closed a deal that has greatly benefitted all of us, I just wanted to take a moment and reflect upon a transaction none of us could have imagined even just a few months ago.  I guess this amazing outcome kind of balances out the shit we have all been put through with Covid.

First of all, thank YOU!!  I know you have previously thanked us for the opportunity, however, we couldn’t have and wouldn’t have wanted to do this without you.  This has been unique since you and I have both a professional/business relationship as well as a friendship.  I think we switch between the two and navigate both of them as well as it can be done.

As a broker, your professionalism, honesty and integrity is unmatched.  Every broker can say they have the client’s best interest at heart, but you prove it daily.  From expertly guiding us through a complex massive deal with numerous documents, to always making me feel that I am not bugging you with all of my questions, comments, and discussion points, to your thoughtfulness in voluntarily reducing your commission in this deal, you have always made us feel like we were your most important client.  I have no doubt you make all of your clients feel the same way.

As a friend, we share a common love…baseball.  I love talking all things baseball with you whenever we have the chance.  As I mentioned the other day, I told Regina shortly after you and I met a few years ago that we seemed to click and we bonded right from the beginning.  Most professional athletes never let you forget they are/were professional athletes.  However, you are just the opposite.  There is no ego and nobody would ever know your past in normal conversation with you unless they previously knew of it.   If I ever get the chance, I plan to compliment Mr. & Mrs. Hudson (your parents) on their upbringing skills.  This bodes very well for your three kids, having you as their dad.  In short, I am honored to call you my friend and look forward to socializing with you and Jess for many years.

Anyway, thanks again for taking us on the ride of our lives.  I am just happy you were along with us.
